We’ve been reflecting on 2020 and what it meant for Donater, as well as how the year impacted the charity sector.
Thank You
Above all else, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who chose Donater to help raise money for good causes last year.
These charities chose to put their faith in us, essentially a start-up, in the most challenging of times for charitable organisations. They were brave, resilient and resourceful and looked for covid-safe, socially-distanced ways they could continue vital fundraising.
The sole reason Donater exists is to help you make a difference in our ever-increasing cashless society. When we first started working on our cashless donation technology, we knew it was an important tool for charities and fundraising. We had no idea how vital online fundraising would become in 2020.
Donater’s Online Fundraising Technology
Lockdown 1, all those months ago, was the catalyst for us to launch our Donater suite of fundraising tools.
- Personalised online donation pages, that can be easily linked to charity websites through a Donate button
- QR codes to enable Covid-safe, contactless giving via smartphones and Google Pay or Apple Pay
- NFC tags so people can just tap their smartphone and donate through Google or Apple Pay – Completely contactless
- Smart Stickers that combine the QR code and NFC tag in one easy-to-use smart sticker that can be used almost anywhere
Keep Moving Forwards
2020 was without doubt a very odd year, and we know that 2021 will also be challenging for everyone in the third sector. We are here to support you through it.
Whilst we have been in our beta-testing phase, charities using Donater donation technology have raised in excess of £50,000 for good causes. Already we have been recognised for digital innovation as a finalist in our local Business Awards.
We have such faith that Donater can be a real force for good – Throughout a pandemic and beyond.
We are committed to constantly evolving our technology and will continue to add new features in the coming months to make fundraising even easier.
2021 might look like it’s going to follow a similar trajectory to last year. But we also know that the tenacity, innovation and strength so many charities have shown in the face of these challenging times will continue into this year too.
Donater will be right here with you to help you continue fundraising throughout Covid and out the other side.
